Many dimensions of love are talked about today, unfortunately most of them are referring to the desire and selfish that means feeling to another is nothing but his/her object to satisfy oneself in the sensory need. Of course, there is nothing wrong about this idea but it should be focused of another wider way which its result will make both sides of lovers be happy without any condition (for one self).
This festival is, as be recognized, very special for many people haft of the world who celebrate the Jesus’s birthday. In Christianity, mercy is given to mankind through several ways, once and best is to send His beloved son, Jesus, to die on the cross for saving us. One question will arise for the unbeliever especially Buddhist, Muslim and so on, how can he save us when our accumulated actions must be personal, one’s action cannot be replaced (changed) by another? Every religion believes so but we should not forget that religion itself never denies the advice of others. In human’s special characteristic, we are trainable, means many times we can do wrong but our behavior can still be changed or developed in every moment that it is ready, many robbers can become the good leaders of families and terrorists can become the peace makers. What is really its cause? Undoubtedly, that is good adviser.
Jesus is the best adviser of Christians who guides the way to God but it is forgotten and abandoned by Christian itself in the present time, Celebrating is held a lot until it covers the real essence of festival. It does not mean that we should stop this celebration but how to make people remind of the birth and death of Jesus that is more important. He was born to help us and ultimately died to save us, in turn, we ever help others or save others without any condition? If this kind of act is ignored, the cross is thrown away, how can we call ourselves “followers”?
People, in contemporary, tend to look at oneself benefit first, that is opposite to Jesus, he taught the words of God that never fears anybody, in the crisis situation at that time, he could alive if just stop his teaching which protests the old belief but he realized that it’s only one way of human to be saved that is the truth given by God (I am the way, I am the truth…..) even his life can be sacrificed. The purpose is only to lead us to God, whole his teaching can be summarized in this way because we have been lost from the way for along time by the cause of desire, hatred and other defilements. Forgiveness is ready all times to be back just return to Him.
Finally, it should be warned each other, on behalf of who are equal to receive the God’s mercy, do not make the birth and death of important one who comes to help us useless. Look around our bodies, many people need taking care of and some of them are alone, lead them to the way of happiness, let them know the peace of God, carry up again the cross by helping our parents, friends and every being for the real benefit as God and/or Jesus used to do it on this Christmas Day.
